This weekend Paris was awarded the Jessop Girls Day Trophy for the second year in a row! This is awarded to the most outstanding female sailor of the year and the trophy dates back to 1983.
Here she is at the the awards ceremony, San Diego Yacht Club’s annual trophy dinner.
Paris didn’t just grow up with a skiff under her feet, it was often a surfboard too.
Last weekend, Paris placed 2nd in Jr. Girls (age 15-18) in the 31st Annual Jimmy Reilly Memorial Longboard Surf Classic. She said, “it was the best swell Coronado has seen for a while. There were 5 girls, one heat, the heat was 15 minutes you were allowed to caught 6 waves and they judged you on your best 2 waves. I caught two waves and my second wave ended up being good enough for second place!”
